The Verdict
The whole family put this Iced Non Dairy Dessert to the test.
We removed the lid from the tub and the first impression was good, there was a pleasant and fresh aroma of raspberries and the colour of the desert was a subtle pale pink colour and was shot through with raspberry purée ripples.
Whoever named this “Juicy Raspberry” flavour was spot-on, it describes it perfectly. It has a really nice creamy texture which is really light and fluffy – almost mousse like. This is really good quality and definitely equal to premium brand ice-cream.
I don’t have a sweet tooth and I am not really a big fan of ice cream but I really enjoyed this, the girls and my husband thought it was delicious and absolutely loved it. We all agreed that we preferred this to any raspberry flavoured dairy ice-cream we have ever had.
Two of my daughter’s are lactose free, so they really love this as it doesn’t give them tummy ache which is one of the things that happens if they eat more than a very small amount of dairy ice-cream.
This is a perfect alternative for anyone who can’t eat dairy ice-cream or is on a restricted diet. It’s especially great for children as there is no need for them to feel excluded when their friends are all enjoying an ice-cream. You could serve this to your child and their non-allergic friends and I am absolutely positive it be loved by all of them.
I have had Mocha flavoured Swedish Glacé in the past and it was absolutely heavenly, but I think that it must have been discontinued, as I haven’t seen it in any stores for ages and I can’t find it on-line anywhere either.
This was a hit with us and we would definitely buy it again.
