The Verdict
We used the fabric softener with the Ecover bio washing tablets and the Ecover non-bio laundry liquid, it had a very pleasant faint and fresh floral fragrance which wasn’t strongly perfumed or overpowering. The smell of the conditioner in the bottle was a lot stronger than the smell that remained on your washing once it had been laundered.
The clothes were nice and soft to the touch and the towels (after tumble drying) were plump and fluffy.
Regular use of this product heightens your awareness of how strongly perfumed other laundry products are. Since we have used the Ecover laundry products we have noticed that when next door hangs their washing out to dry we can smell it from our garden, as what they are using to launder their clothes is so strongly perfumed compared to this.
Our family members all have sensitive skin and some have allergies, we have never found this fabric softener to irritate our skin or allergies unlike other fabric conditioners and softeners we have previously used.
We really liked this product, we purchased it primarily because of the plant and mineral based ingredients (for our sensitive skin and allergies) but it still makes you feel good to know that you are using something that is also kind to the environment.
